Who are we?
Formed in 1998 from the remnants of Burnley based Bus K (who supported such names as Echo and the Bunnymen, PJ Harvey and Urban Species), when Gareth Hughes and Paul Davies, two of the protagonists of that project, moved to Sheffield and teamed up with Sheffield based guitarist Graham Armitage.
What do we do?
Combining programmed drum beats with guitar based arrangement and an unusual lyrical intelligence, the band desire to do nothing more than write memorable songs, four of which can be heard on the 'Drill EP'

Influences? Far and wide, but you can certainly include, Radiohead, early REM, Scott Walker, New Order and on certain days Buzzcocks.
Are we any good?
The 'Drill EP' recorded at Darnall Music Factory in late 1999 / early 2000 is a sound of a band finally finding their feet. While earlier recordings hinted at the latent power of their songwriting, this EP demonstrates an ear for melody , song construction and a stubborn unwillingness to shy away from dark subject matter
